THE CLASS EXPERIENCE

A little strength. A little balance. A reason to come together.

Our foundational fitness class brings several types of movement into one session. Seated, chair-supported, and standing options help residents participate at a level that suits them.

01 / STRENGTH

Everyday movement

Controlled movements and light resistance, adapted to the group.

02 / BALANCE

Steady practice

Supported and standing activities with clear instructor guidance.

03 / CARDIO

Find your rhythm

Approachable, low-impact movement that gets the group moving together.

04 / MOBILITY

Room to stretch

Gentle range-of-motion work and a relaxed cool-down.

MEASURED PROGRESS

Built around intrinsic capacity.

Our programming follows the WHO's intrinsic capacity framework — the physical and mental abilities that matter most for healthy aging. Every attendee is assessed when they join, re-assessed each quarter, and can see their own progress in plain language.

LOCOMOTION
Gait speed, chair-rise, and balance — the foundation of independence.
VITALITY
Grip strength and energy — how much reserve the body has to draw on.
COGNITION
Movement sequences and dual-task drills that keep the mind in the class.
MOOD
Confidence and connection — showing up is measured too.

No — every exercise has seated, chair-supported, and standing options, so residents at different ability levels share the same class.

Yes. Most communities run a weekly or twice-weekly slot at a consistent day and time, so the class becomes a familiar routine.
